Local Priorities

We work with the community and local partners, as well as looking at our own data to come up with the priority that we will have for Taverham for the next three months:
Road Safety across Broadland

Issued: 18 Mar 2026

Status Update

We’ve been conducting speed and road checks in hotspot locations and offering safety education to all road users and prosecuting drivers when possible.

We’ve received a number of reports recently regarding a motorcycle being ridden in an anti-social manner in the Taverham area during early mornings, including excessive noise and speeding.

Last week (14 April) officers located the motorbike on Fakenham Road, where it was stopped and the driver was reported for careless and inconsiderate driving. The vehicle was inspected and seized for further examination due to suspected illegal modifications.

On 26 April we attended Hall Lane, Drayton and carry out speed checks, spoke with residents. During these checks, three drivers were stopped by police and given words of advice.

You can report driving offences to us on the Norfolk Police website.
